Formed in 2009, the band quickly garnered attention with the album "Wandering Through Sorrow," released by Revalve Records, which earned them their first record deal. In this debut album, the band leaned towards distinctly gothic and symphonic sounds, but already hinted at what would become a more specific sound.

In 2017, their second album "Onirica" was released, published by the same label, taking Serenade on tours across many Italian and European cities; the new album scaled back the gothic and symphonic sound in favor of a more modern direction, exploring electronic moods and pursuing more aggressive riffs and songs, defining in a more specific way the style that would set the band's path.

In 2024, "Ritual" comes to life, further pushing the boundaries of sound and composition, drawing from increasingly electronic realms and aggressive thrash, reminiscent and blending numerous historical bands into an extremely personal modernization.
